New DVR 112

Recently installed a pioneer 112d in my 800 emac. The installer is listed as an exe file. Should I have told the retailer I had a mac? Bought it from Mwave online store.It came with nero8 essentials software.

You don't need the installer to make the drive work. You might have to run the freeware app called Patchburn, available for download from http://www.patchburn.de . This will make Apple's iApps think the drive is supported.

With 10.4 your drive will be recognized natively.
With 10.2 apparently you need to run PatchBurn 1.1 to get iApps burn support.
I would recommend looking at the drive compatibility database on xlr8yourmac.com to get more information on that.

Thanks for the help...Patchburn worked for me. Now if I can just get the speakers to work again...I must have not connected them when I put it all back together. I always did like to tinker with stuff anyway. Thanks again.
