PS3 to Apple Display

Hey guys,

Just about to buy a mac pro and apple cinema display and i was just wondering what the best way to get HD playback on my apple display. The screen has dvi connectors and firewire 400 connectors. Would it be better graphically to use a firewire connector OR get an hdmi to dvi adapter so i can plug my ps3 hdmi cable into the dvi connector on the display? Woddaya think?

Also, will my ps3 controller work via bluetooth on my mac pro? I understand that xbox 360 controllers do!

You'll want the HDMI/DVI adapter, definitely.

The firewire connector on the cable attached to your display is for plugging into the mac, which activates the firewire ports on the back of the display.

I don't think a simple inline HDMI/DVI adapter is enough to get PS3 to display on ACD. You need to check if PS3 support 1920x1200 (which I doubt it very much). If not, the chance are slim as ACD doesn't support many resolutions either, not like these mainstream PC displays. You will probably need a video converter.
