Moving rental from itunes to apple tv not working!

Do you have enough room on the tv for the file.

I am having a problem transferring a rented movie also. I can get the page where I select a movie to move, but I cannot select it. I get a message that I must have an internet connection to do this. My internet connection is working fine.

I tried moving a TV show from my iTunes and got nowhere also.

I am in the same boat. I bought the same movie and I move it over to Apple TV and then I see it ATV but when I go to play it tells me that it is not authorized to play the video on my Apple TV.

I re-authorized my I-Tunes but that did nothing.

I know you need to have syncing enabled to move rented movies to the tv, which may explain some of the issues being posted here, but as for it getting half way through and stopping, well that sounds a little different.

I had this issue and had to change the firewall settings to allow incoming connections... worked fine after that. Still trying to figure out how to enable individual ports with the firewall in Leopard.

The other way to set up the firewall is to use application specific, but in that case make sure you remove iTunes from the list and then add it back in to get it working. Problem is, using that setting it asks me everytime I launch iTunes and it sees the AppleTV whether or not I want to allow incoming connections.

I waited until iTunes stopped syncing with Apple TV and was able to move the rental to ATV.

I had the same problem yesterday trying to move a movie from my PowerMac to ATV. The movie would get about half way there and then iTunes would say, "Connecting to the iTunes Store" and stop the move. I tried several times but always the same thing.
