Trying to install iWorks 08 but getting a Code 999 error message.

suggestions about how to proceed?

PowerBook G4, Mac OS X (10.3.x), 1.33 GHz 768 MB DDR SDRAM

Welcome to Apple discussions.

The one time I heard of someone getting that error message, it was due to a corrupt installer. You might want to try downloading the trial version again, and seeing if that installs.

Having said that, I notice you're running Panther. iWork '08 wants OS X 10.4.10 or above. It doesn't look like you meet the minimum system requirements, which would certainly produce an installation error.
