hdmi rgb auto ycbcr

what is the difference between all these hdmi settings??? I have no idea which one I should choose.
All my connections are done via hdmi 1.3

YCbCr is probably the right choice but you may want to go for auto.

Consumer HD content is encoded using YCbCR since it has advantages over RGB in terms of bandwidth requirements. RGB is arguably the better quality but it serves little purpose to select this for consumer content unless you are watching on a monitor or the like where your HDMI is connected to a DVI connector.

YPbPr is analogue component and is nothing to do with the HDMI output from the tv.

Could you please show your quotes? where did you get that information from? when you said not support is that mean you can't see anything at all if you choose rgb? i can. I've been using rgb since the take 2 came out. The reason i went back to auto is i could not tell much differnce at all from all these options. unless i have two TVs and two ATVs side by side.

There is no absolute best. The rule of thumb is if you don't know, go auto. What auto means is it will find the best that your hardware capable of.
