Error code 2096

When I try to start up itunes on my computer, it says that quicktime failed to start up. It gives an error code of 2096. Can anyone give me any suggestions.
I have Quicktime on my computer and can bring it up. Itunes won't come up. I had itunes before and it worked just fine. I'm not sure if something got accidentally deleted. I get the error code then it tells me to download itunes again.
