Broken screen on iPod

what model ipod do you have and where you located?

You can get the screen replaced on your iPod, Apple don't cover it under warranty but companies like www.ukipodrepairs.co.uk will replace it pretty cheap.

my ipod has a minor crack near the bottom of the screen. is it anything to worry about?

is the crack on the plastic outer case or the inner lcd screen? what model ipod do you have?

It is possible to replace the iPod LCD but the service dealers will charge a fortune for it.

I think it's on the plastic, but I'm not totally sure.
It's a 3rd gen iPod.

if its the plastic front i wouldnt worry to much as long as it doesnt seem to bother you much. if its the lcd eventually it will crack more then bleed then become more of a pain to see. you should be able to see if its the lcd you will notice some discoloration on the lcd screen. eventually it will die, the lcd that is. they are easy to change out. i've done these models before. its a black and white screen right, same as this ipod..

It's a second gen, sorry, I read the thingy wrong. :P
so no, it's not black and white. there doesn't appear to be any discoloration - yet? My brother dropped it a couple weeks back, and that may have done it.

ok is it an ipod photo or ipod with monochrome lcd? i have both of these lcd's from non working ipod's. would you want it fixed? are all features still functional only the lcd is bad? i've repaired these item's and am capable to assist you if you wish. let me know. i live in Lethbridge alberta canada.
