Has anyone noticed that if you clear your Youtube history, and then go somewhere else in the menus, say My Photos, when you come back, your history is back?
What happens to the history if you delete it, visit another menu, return to find the history back again and then visit another video. Does the history get added to or overwritten ?
Good q... was just experimenting. If I delete the history, then view another youtube video, then the history just contains the new video, not the old history plus the new video.
So the bug is if the history isn't re-written to before leaving youtube and coming back, in which case it returns.
I think the bug is that stuff deleted from the tv is misbehaving. I've seen posts that sort of suggested this in other areas on the tv, but your observations sort of confirm this to me.
You may or may not know that when things are deleted they aren't actually deleted, it's just the flags that tell the system where there file is are changed and should be ignored. The file itself should just hang around hidden until it gets overwritten. It would seem that the deleted files are still visible because the tv isn't ignoring the flags but that essentially everything else works as it should.
This is clearly something that the user is unlikely to be able to fix and will be a problem (albeit a minor one once you understand the problem) until at least the next update.
