Overriding previous content on a website

I have just published my iWeb to a personal domain. However, there were already several pages at the site (posted a year ago by someone who knows more about it than I do).

When I click "publish" will my new content eventually override this previous content? The old content is still showing.

Thanks!

ibook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.7), I have ilife '08 installed

Boy, I am so new to this, I'm not sure of some of the terminology. I have registered my domain name at 000domains.com. I logged into my account there but I didn't know what it was I needed to do to make my webpage show up at my personal domain when I click publish in iWeb. Does "modify name server" sound like the task I need to do?

Here's the URL for the old website:

http://www.laurelsharmer.com/Welcome%201.html

And here's the one for the most recently published one (which isn't overriding the old one)

http://web.mac.com/lsharmer/Site/School.html

Thanks!

Been there, done that. Absolutely know the feeling.
At 000domains.com within your account there should be an area where you can "forward" your domain name to "http://web.mac.com/lsharmer/Site/School.html"
If you have problems navigating their site perhaps there support could assist you.
It should not be hard to do.
You need to "point" the domain name to the .mac page.
Sound much worse than it is.
hang in there!!
I'm thinking this "http://web.mac.com/lsharmer/Site/Home.html" is actually where you want to forward to?

I've look at their site a bit and support looks limited compared to some others.
Didn't see an 800 number.
You might consider contacting another host, such as godaddy.com and possibly transferring the domain name.
My experience with their site and support has been very good.
You may need someone you can actually talk to.
Anyway, hang in there and good luck

Thanks, Chuck. I took your recommendation and transferred my domain to godaddy.com. Their website has easy-to-follow instructions on how to make the transfer. Then after I made the transfer, more user-friendly information about managing the domain arrived in an email.

I could even put ".mac" in their search engine and got very specific "click here" and "enter this" directions for pointing my domain to my .mac page. Just the ticket for an old fogey such as I.

I think 000domains.com must be run by a bunch of kids who may be assuming everyone knows the technical jargon. But the reason we old-timers own Macs is so we can look like pros without having to learn all the stuff that goes on behind the monitor.
