OK to delete "Previous Systems" file?

OK to delete "Previous Systems" file?

I noticed that after installing 10.5 (or maybe 10.5.1, because of the date), I have a folder called "Previous Systems" with a folder inside that called 2008-01-27_1835. Is it okay to delete this? It's taking 15 GB of space on my disk. Everything is working fine.

MacBook Pro with lots of extra stuff, Mac OS X (10.5.2), iPhone in pocket, iPod in car, Nikon and Adobe everything

Trash it and see if anything is effected. If not, empty the trash and forget about it. This is what I did. Most folders that are necessary, rebuild in a Mac.

Hi J Micael;

If the Previous Systems folder was from either 10.5 or 10.5.1, then the chances of it being of any use are really slim. I think that deleting it will be a good thing.

That's created when you do an archive and install. If your system runs fine for a few days post-install and you don't notice anything missing, then you can delete that folder with no issues.
