Moving to G4 MDD Dual processor

An opportunity arose as someone's selling a 1GHZ Dual MDD with original Tiger installed. My present 1.25 G4 MDD is better in some respects as I have Panther and Tiger installed in 2 separate drives. In terms of speed, I would prefer to use the dual for CS2. This means swopping the drives and re-installing some programs. And max the Rams to 2G. Can you foresee any problems here ? And any recommendations ? Thanks.

Rather than just swapping drives, when you get the new 1GHz machine, do a fresh erase-and-install of the OS, repair permissions, download/install all of the updates via Software Update, repair permissions again, and then start installing the applications you need.

Best to install everything fresh whenever possible; try to only copy documents/photos/files over.

Also, CS2 allows activation on two machines, so you could install and activate it on your second one, without deactivating the first.

Max RAM is a good idea, too. OWC ([www.macsales.com]) has great RAM prices for older Macs.
