When you sync to iTunes, it should automatically port over all the data from the phone- movies, music and all.

The answer is no from an iPhone to a disk or memory card.

iTunes includes an option to transfer content purchased from the iTunes Store from an iPhone (or an iPod) to iTunes. This is for content purchased from the iTunes Store only - not for content acquired elsewhere that was transferred from iTunes to an iPhone.

The manually manage music selection is for manually managing music with iTunes only. This provides for manually dragging content from your iTunes library to the iPhone - in place of using a Playlist for syncing or syncing content that is checked in iTunes.

Why did you delete all your music from the iTunes library?

You need to put if back since music can be transferred from your computer to an iPhone (or iPod) with iTunes only.

There are a number of programmes out there which will enable you to copy the content of your Ipod/Iphone back into ITunes. I'm thinking that the TOU probably forbids me from naming them, as Apple doesn't like it!

But a quick google will doubtless bring them up. They do not involve any hacking or jailbreaking of the phone, I hasten to add.

But previous poster is right - only Itunes-purchased music can be transferred without the help of something else.
