virus? Can't connnect to websites.

When I try to load any webpage using any web browser, the following message comes up: Safari can’t open the page “ http://gateway.2wire.net/xslt?PAGE=HURL07” because it can’t find the server “gateway.2wire.net”.

This is the URL that comes up in the box...

http://gateway.2wire.net/xslt?PAGE=HURL07

I called my service provider and they said everything was working properly on their end, and couldn't help me further.

The strange thing is that it only affects my internet browsing though, as I am able to connect to MSN Messenger and such. When I disconnect the ADSL cable into my computer and just connect to a wireless signal, the internet works fine.

Anyone know anything about this????
thanks

"Excessive Sessions Warning- Error
Your 2700HG-E Gateway has intercepted your webpage request to provide you with this important message. The following devices on your network are using a large number of simultaneous Internet sessions:

The most likely cause of this is a blaster-type virus which has infected the device. It is strongly recommended that the devices above be scanned for potential viruses."

If you can connect wirelessly, download the the two things i have provided,
I dont think it is a virus, as much as it is ADSL cable and or the ADSL port.
I would test them both, use another cable, if that dosent do the trick, call your ISP, and have them look at it, they may have a soultion. BUT as i said before, this dose not sound like a virus, if it is i will be very supprised, for three reasons, 1.if it were a virus, it wouldent only effect your internet browsing, it would also effect anything that uses the internet, 2. Macs are very ammuned to virus, considering the run off the UNIX core, and 3. I have had the same porblem, it turned out that it was the cord, and then the port gave out next.

Good Luck
Hope I Have Been Helpful
