Feb 22, 2008 10:37 AM in response to alephbotby rcbracer,Deleted my mail account on the iPhone and did a reset. Created a new Yahoo mail account on the phone and it still doesn't push. I'm in California. -
Feb 22, 2008 10:38 AM in response to allanbcbsby avionics12,Yahoo push email is working off and on for me. Sometimes it will push the e-mail but does not update the mail icon on the iPhone. If I delete an e-mail when in Yahoo mail on my computer the push email does not update either. -
Feb 22, 2008 11:43 AM in response to alephbotby Jwissick, one of my accounts started pushing this morning. The other is still dead. I am in california as well.
I wish yahoo would post a status message somewhere in the future instead of leaving thousands I'd uz in the dark. -
Feb 22, 2008 11:56 AM in response to Jwissickby Rob Ferrell,I live in Southern California. I heard the familiar chime of a pushed email this morning at the gym. Hope the fix lasts! -
Feb 22, 2008 1:23 PM in response to Rob Ferrellby Grant.kinsel,Mine is, at best, intermitant. If I delete the account from the iPhone and then set it up again, it works for a while, then inevitably stops pushing. It's been this way for the better part of a week: Each time I reset the account and regain push email, it stops within 24 hours. I assume no one's aware of any postings that would indicate a fix is on its way. Also, does anyone know why .Mac doesn't support Push? That seems so odd to me. -

Feb 22, 2008 6:21 PM in response to alephbotby jj6612,After experiencing my Yahoo Push Mail stopping, I read through all of this thread. Today I logged onto my Yahoo account via my PC using the 2 ID's I have mail accounts on. I selected the email icon and opened my WEB mail view. I then selected the options link in the upper right portion of the WEB mail view. I then selected the mobile link which took me to the mobile activation screen. I did not enter any further information and clicked the back button on my browser until I got back to the regular WEB mail view. My iPhone immediately started receiving pushed mail. I repeated the process on my second ID and had the same success. I am not certain why it worked, but it did. I did not power off my iPhone or reset my mail account information on the phone, so it was all Yahoo processes that fixed the issue. -

I followed the same example as jj6612 and then tested. I now receive push emails again on my iphone.
Logged into both of my email accounts on my desktop computer. I navigated through my email settings to options and then mobile. I didn't change anything or enter my mobile number, just backed out and went back to the main options page.
I then sent myself some pictures from my iphone to test the push, and began to receive the pushed emails immediately.
It works. =) -
Feb 23, 2008 3:51 AM in response to alephbotby Robert Rees,My yahoo.co.uk email is still broken. Used to work (push) fine until recently, now I can't even collect mail manually via my iPhone. I've tried all the suggestions in this thread but nothing. I can collect my Yahoo mail via a web browser (either on my computer or my iPhone) but the Mail client on the iPhone is unable to collect my Yahoo mail in any way whatsoever. -
Feb 23, 2008 5:27 AM in response to Wayne S.by Wayne S.,Well I'm eating crow today because Yahoo Push email is now working for me. Thanks Yahoo for resolving. -
Feb 23, 2008 11:15 AM in response to alephbotby rcbracer,Yahoo push email is working again, however, there seems to be some changes. When my yahoo account receives an email it is pushed to my iPhone within seconds, same as before. When I delete the email fron my yahoo account from the web page it will not push the deletion to my iPhone like it used to. Is there some option I need to set to make this happen? -
Feb 23, 2008 4:43 PM in response to rcbracerby ugshotgun,Mine is still NOT WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I found a workaround!
I set the account up anyway and learned that even though it won't receive any mail, it will send out from my yahoo iphone mail widget. SO, I then set up a filter in my yahoo via my pc and have it forward me mobile text alerts when I receive emails...walla...I now can send and receive, just a little differently thats all..:) -
Feb 23, 2008 5:08 PM in response to alephbotby Ariza,Restoring iPhone through iTunes without 'backing up' or 'restoring phone settings' seems to fix the problem.
Once you have the iPhone restored go though the Yahoo! email set up on the phone - once its set up and working go ahead and sync the iPhone to iTunes as a new phone, don't do the restore settings option.
this worked for me, good luck everyone
