New HP Photosmart C6180 Driver v9.7.1 - Does it work well?

I have been using Leopard's built-in driver for my HP Photosmart C6180. Printing works perfectly. I can't scan to my Mac though. I see that HP finally has released a new driver (v9.7.1) for this printer. I don't want to mess up a good thing until I have more confidence that this driver works correctly. Has anyone installed this and had good results/bad results?
