Availability of all Versions in Smart Albums

Since upgrading to v2.0, my Smart Albums no longer allow access to all versions of an image. The version in the Smart Album indicates that it is part of a stack of 3, for example, but when I try to open the Stack the indicator simply changes to say '1 of 3'.

Is this due to a fundamental change in the behaviour of Smart Albums/Stacks/Versions in v2.0 or am I missing something obvious?
