PocketMac GoBetween for Lotus Notes

PocketMac has released PocketMac GoBetween for Lotus Notes, an iSync add-on which allows users to synchronize contacts between the Address Book and Lotus Notes, and events and tasks between iCal and Lotus notes.

While bidirectional synchronization is standard, selectable options allow users to overwrite data in one environment or the other, ignore completed tasks or tasks older than a user selectable value, and to determine which data types will be synchronized. If you are familiar with e2Sync as an extension of iSync for Entourage users, you will find the interface of PocketMac GoBetween for Lotus Notes familiar.

This looked like a great idea.

Has anyone been able to connect to a Lotus Notes database on a server?
I haven't found an eample on this, but it seems the ability to enter the Notes credentials for connecting is not there.

Of course, it's possible that I'm missing something here, too.

I purchased and trying this software the day it came out. I can't make it work at all... and I have no response from them.

My advise... wait before you buy o have at least 1 person able to make it work !

I purchased as well and and was unable to connect. I type my serve name in and the user filename, which ends in .nsf. But, it doesn't even ask for a password. Would like to know if anyone has sorted this out. Thanks

More or less the same here.

I managed to sync the adressbook with the local notes database, but the calendar is still not working. PocketMac tries to do this, but fails after some time with an error message.

I wrote to the support team, but no answer so far. I hope we will get this thing working very soon.

This looked like an answer to my prayers but as others have noted there is no dialogue box for login and password notes server.I have put in name of server and path of mail file.

Also noted that there is no manual on the pocketmac site for GoBetween for Lotus Notes.
Also waiting for a reply from tech support.

I've gotten no response from tech support in almost a week. You would think with the launch of a new product, the response on issues would be a bit more timely.
At least to say they are aware of the issue and working on a solution.
Still no luck though. Guess I'll keep forwarding meeting invites to another account to update iCal.

Sorry to see so many others have fallen in to the same trap.

I should have searched these boards before buying. I bought this on Monday. I have left multiple voice mails, and a long (VERY LONG) set of emails on their support board. It syncs my names.nsf file with no problems, but fails on the mail.nsf file. The message is as follows:

"Error: unable to open database.: (6408) Wrong Password. (Passwords are case sensitive - be sure to user correct upper and lower case.)"
)

Is this the same message everyone else got? I have gone into my keychain and actually made the notes entry accessible by applications, that did not change the error at all.

I guess that you need to enter a password to log into Notes. My workaround:
1. Start Notes and log in with your password. (I'm using Notes 8.5 Beta)
2. Notes asked me, if I want to store my account in the keychain of OS X Leopard. Answer: "yes"
3. Close and restart the Notes client.
The "wrong password" message doesn't appear in GoBetween, if Lotus Notes has been opend before the synchronisation starts.

But - sorry - it even works for me!!!
It fails with the error "invald date of month". Seems, that it has problems with the german date/time format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I strongly hope, that their support centre will start to work soon!

Also here, it syncs names.nsf, but not my mail database.
The error message is:

I already have Notes in my Key Chain, I will try and remove it and re-add it to see if it that get's me futher. I had gone in and edited my key chain access to let applications access it - to no avail.

Well I thought it worked, but nothing synced. I then went in and - re-removed the key chain, re configured Pocketmac and then tried to sync. Got the same bad password message. grrr. time to update my post on their support site.

I posted all this information on their support site, still no fixes or responses. Has ANYONE gotten them to respond? Perhaps we should take up a pool since the phone support cost twice the price of the software.

Well, I have never heard back from tickets created on the support site.
I had sent a question in to sales support thinking I might be able to back into a resolution. There was a response to that saying they opened a support ticket. I never heard anything back from either posting on their support site.

In the meantime I reinstalled LN a couple of time. And the message disappeared. Right now I also stuck with the authentification problem.
