Emails will not delete in Entourage

I have not seen any response to anyone regarding email issues like this one with Entourage. I cannot delete .Mac emails in Entourage. In Mail I checked my preferences and unchecked save deleted emails on server. They delete fine in Mail, but the same emails will not delete in Entourage. When I click delete, the highlight simply jumps up to the next email. There are no error messages.
