Installation software for Ipod shuffle?

I just bought my new Ipod shuffle.. But i cant install the software on my laptop? I have downloaded the newest Itunes, but it doesn't work. Do i need a installation cd, because it can't find any software on the internet. I have windows vista, is that why?

everyone is having same problem it's pretty simple i guess. when prompted for the cd, select "i don't have cd, show other options" or something like that. then click on the browse button and type C:\WINDOWS\system32 or select manually. do this three times, so that the computer installs the 3 necessary drivers. and then your ipod is ready.
