iTunes miniplayer disappears off-screen

iTunes miniplayer disappears off-screen

While viewing the iTunes Store, I clicked the green zoom button, and iTunes shrank down and disappeared off the left corner of my screen. Now the miniplayer is unavailable. Minimize/maximize works as expected. I tried setting and unsetting the "Keep miniplayer on top" box: no change. Have also restarted iTunes.

Configuration:
Mac mini Core 2 Duo 2.0 Ghz, 2GB Ram
OS X 10.5.2
iTunes 7.6
Spaces disabled
Only one monitor (1680 x 1050)

I'm not entirely sure if I understand what you mean by "disappeared off the left corner of the screen" but the tried and true way to fix a problem is to simply quit iTunes, delete the preference file (Username/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes) and start iTunes again and the problem should be fixed and a new preference file will be created.

Hope that works. If not, you can elaborate on the problem.

By "disappeared off the left corner of the screen", I was referring to the windows minimize animation.

I think I know what happened:
Somehow, when I clicked the zoom button to switch to the mini-player, it drew the mini-player almost off-screen in the lower left-hand corner. Looking carefully, I could see a quarter-inch sticking out. I couldn't grab it, because that was a hot-corner for my screensaver. I turned off the hot-corner, then I was able to grab it, and presto, back in business.

Thanks for the tip about "Username/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTune". It probably would have worked by resetting the location of the mini-player to the default. I probably would have had some extra work opening my library, which is on another disk, etc...

I'm having the same problem, however I'm on a PC. Preferences file is a bit harder to find, I think, if there is one.
