iTunes Ringtones - Where are they?!

I am getting an iPhone and it is in the mail right now...I would like to create a ringtone from either one of my songs that i already own or a new one that i could buy on the iTunes store...there's just one problem:
Ringtones is not showing up in my iTunes!!!!!!!

On the left hand sidebar there is no ringtones section/icon or whatever it's called. There's only (under LIBRARY) Music, Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, and Radio. Under STORE there's "iTunes Store" and "Purchased". Under PLAYLISTS there's Party Shuffle and then my personal playlists. I really have no clue where to get ringtones! I see that they are in the iTunes store but not in my itunes library...I really need this to be fixed soon!
Please PLEASE help me!!!!!

p.s.
When I asked iTunes to search for an update, it says that iTunes is downloaded as the most current version; iTunes 7.6. I'm assuming that it's correct when it says that but I am very confused all the same! 😟

You're sure you are using the correct password for the account? You're able to buy tracks using that password?

And have you already purchased the track from which you are trying to to create the ringtone. You may already know this, but you must buy the track first, and then you can create and purchase the ringtone.
