Unable to purchase TV shows "Purchase of Item is not currently available"

I got the same message and I just posted the same question. I guesss I should have loooked back before posting.

I'm having the same problem with buying the whole series of any anime, including afro samari, gunslinger girl, ballistic, and others. this has been going on for 2 days now. Is there some problem with the store and if so when will it be fixed?

I got an email back from apple they told me:

"From time to time, the iTunes Store updates the items in the catalog to ensure the highest possible quality for our customers. It's possible that "Lost-Season 1" is being updated and is therefore temporarily unavailable. Please try again in 72 hours. If you still are unable to purchase it, please let me know."

I'm getting the same error when trying yo purchases full seasons, but I can download individual episodes.

I'm having the same issue trying to purchase the full season of "Deadliest Catch, Season 1." I've been trying to purchase it through my Apple TV for several days. If it's truly being "modified," then I don't understand why it's possible to purchase the individual episodes.

Also, Apple makes it virtually impossible to contact them with support questions about an item you are unable to purchase, as all "Purchase Problem" questions to them require your order number.

yeah, this is the first thing that apple puts out where the support is less than desirable, it's the biggest turn off of iTunes. At the very least they should be transparent with the itunes download server status so when problems like this happen we can tell if it's us or iTunes and than maybe have some live phone support. It would be much nicer than hitting a wall when there are problems like this.

I got the following response from Apple support:

"I'm sorry you ran into an error when you tried to use the iTunes Store. This
error was caused by a temporary issue with the iTunes Store that should be
resolved shortly. Please check the iTunes Store again in a few hours. All
features should be working well by then.

If you still cannot make the purchase within two days, reply back with the
season passes that you are trying to purchase, the billing information listed to
your account and permission to make the purchase on your behalf, and we will do
this for you."

I have had the exact same problem when trying to download Dexter season 1. This must be all over iTunes TV shows right now if so many people are getting this. Guess we will have to wait.

Looks like this may have been resolved, I am now downloading Stargate SG-1 Season 4 and am not getting the error message.

I'm in the opposite boat. I cannot remove a tv show i decided not to buy from my cart now to save my life. No matter what it keeps appearing. I've uninstalled, reinstalled and it is the same thing over and over.
