Cancelling "Empty Trash"

Let's say you unknowingly add a big folder full of important info to the Trash, initiate an "Empty Trash" and then realize as the progress bar says "now deleting 7,456 files" that you've screwed up and cancel the Empty Trash..... Does anybody know if you cancel the empty, does it delete some of the files (up to the cancel) or does it restore all of the files that were in the trash?

It most likely would have deleted some of the files. The only way to be sure is to count the files that are left and see if it differs from the number before putting it in the trash.

Do a restart and some items might appear in the trash in a folder called "recovered files"
