Downloading Music to Iphone

I can't drag and drop songs from ITunes to my iPhone. In the iPhone sync section it only gives me several playlists to choose from and none of them are the ones from iTunes that have songs in them???

You can not drag and drop songs for itunes to the iphone. You have to move the song with in itunes to the play list you want it in then sync it.

You should be able to add songs without using the playlist method.

Plug in your iPhone to your PC and click on your iPhone in the source column of iTunes. If you have Manually Manage Music and Video checked you can drag songs directly from your desktop to the iPhone icon in the column without even having the song in your iTunes library.

I'm on Mac, but I am assuming it should be the same for Windows.

You can drag music from your library to the iPhone, if you have "Manually manage" selected on the iPhone's summary page. But, if you do it this way, then multiple custom ringtones won't work.

For multiple/custom ringtones to work properly, you have to de-select "Manually manage", and then use playlists to pick which songs to sync to the phone (then just select those playlists in the "Music" tab of the iPhone's page)

For drag/drop playlists, create a new one, then select your library, select a song or album, and drag it to the new playlist on the left-hand side
