No access to Bonjour and therefore cannot install iTunes.

I uninstalled iTunes to install the 64-bit version and when installing this error appeared.
Error writing to file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Bonjour\mdnsNSP.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory.
I tried deleting the directory and it said I do not have permission. I'm the administrator so why am I not able to change my own files?
I uninstalled all apple programs I have (iTunes and QuickTime) and checked all the services and processes to make sure Bonjour is not accessed and I still can not delete it or install iTunes.

On XP, more often than not, similar messages are associated with file damage. So a good first step with this in Vista would be to do some disk error checking.

Go "Start > Computer", right-click your C drive, and select properties. Click the Tools tab, and click the "Check now" button.

Does the disk check find/repair any damage? If so, does the directory delet for you now?

I did a disk check and I am able to use the directory now. But after I installed 64-bit iTunes and upon rebooting there was the 'blue screen of death" saying there was a system dump. So I went into safe mode and uninstalled it. after uninstalling other programs to do with iTunes and deleting their directory's, I reinstall iTunes and the same thing happened. So i just got the 32-bit iTunes and now it works fine.

If you want I could reinstall the 64-bit iTunes to see what the blue screen actually said.
