Lock window position permanently?

I would like to be able to lock some windows in Finder permanently—so they always open in the same position. At the least, I'd like my hard disk window to open in the top left corner every time. Is there a way to do this in 10.5.2 or do I need some shareware to make this happen. If shareware, do you have any recommendations? Is it doable with Onyx? Cocktail? TinkerTool?

Thanks

G5, Mac OS X (10.5.2)

Ray:

When I click and drag an item and hover over the the closed window, it snaps open (I want it to do that) at the top RIGHT of my screen and I can place the item in that window or a folder. I close the window and it remembers the position at the top RIGHT, not the top LEFT. Before Leopard, it would remember its default position at the top LEFT and it would continue to open there, not in the latest-opened position.

Try if for yourself and see if it works that way for you.
