Export PSD file as is

I'm doing the trial of Aperture and love it, except for one critical thing. The round trip to PS works fine, it's the export that has problems. What I need to do is export a PS file with all the sizing, layers, color space, and everything I did in PS in tack. There's lots of present for exporting but none of them lets me export the file as is. Layers are flattened, color space may be changed (unless I change it from the export menu). Very frustrating when I just want the file as I had it in PS.

This is of course when I'm working with managed files. Referenced files are easy as I can just use the show in finder.

Thanks
Alan

Well I'll try and answer own question as best I can. I know that if I use managed files there is no way that I know of to export a PSD file out of Aperture in there original PSD form. The only way I could find to do it is to open the file in PS from aperture and then "save as" in a folder outside of Aperture.

This seems like a very cumbersome round about way of doing something that should be a simple straight forward export. The file is sitting in the Aperture library, I just can't get it out the way I want it. It gives me lots and lots of options for exporting but not the straight PSD file. The program is so good, why would apple omit such a fundamental option?

Ian, I am having a related problem, I see I can export a PSD as a "Master" and it even give me an option to include IPTC Metadata but as soon as I export the master, I get a message that reads:" (1) image has been exported to However, IPTC metadata could not be included in the image file for the version identified below"

We are trying to get these tagged and layered PSD files into iPhoto so the whole group can search them with iPhoto. Is there maybe a way to export into the iPhoto library with the IPTC tags? We can export the jpegs with tags but not the layered files, I also tried saving them as layered TIFFs and layered PNG files, same message, any ideas?
