Turn Off Expose!!!!!!!!

How do I turn of this worthless function? I have been in to preferences and given it a go and I can't seem to shut it down. Doing anything on this new G5 is like shooting at a moving target all the windows are bouncing all over the %^&* place while I try and update the software. This is $%^&*.

I disabled it on the G4 but can't remember now how I did it. I just don't need to look at five different windows at once - **** the more windows it opens the stronger your glasses have to be. Four opened at one point and I could barely read the image on the screen.

Any help appreciated before I jump out the first floor window and sprain a nose.

Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Dashboard & Exposé
All the shortcuts for it are there. Just select the popup menus which say in the screen corners:

Application Windows, All Windows, and Desktop and change them to something other than those three. That will disable Exposé from the screen corners. Then make sure the Keyboard and Mouse shortcuts don't have those three functions as having a shortcut.

It must be me ' cause thisone just isn't intuitive to me.

I'll give a go and let you know.

Thank you for you time. BTW - each of the corner prefs. now have only the -- in them which is why I can't figure out why its jumping all over the place. My loguc tells me it ought to be plain old shut down not giving yopu that silly darkened screen and popping windows open arbitrarily.

What do you think?

No, it was this silly new mouse. It wil kill me. I can handle dashboard alone - it can be helpful. What I was doing was clicking on a particular part of the mouse which was set to show all windows so the apps. were boucing all over the place as tried to click on windows an update software or shutdown a window etc....

The mouse should come with a warning. **** I have 23 inch screen if you have open more windows on that you got a problem. I guess I am just getting old.

I did though go back to your instructions an follow them more carefully and they were a help - key to sorting out that it was the Super mouse.

Thanks for your help
