Apple working on SUS fix? Test Update in SUS list

Has anyone else noticed a file in the SUS list called Test Update, with a note saying:

This update is not intended to apply to any system. It is being released to test the function of the Software Update Server.

Macbook Pro 2.16 Ghz 2Gb RAM, Mac OS X (10.5)

I have this file in the SUS update list either.

Before I installed 10.5.2, I used to have a big bunch of updates and index.sucatalog file was missing, now with the 10.5.2 update it doesn't seem to get better, the index.sucatalog file is still missing and i get errors in log file such as :
swupd_syncd failed with SUCatalogLoaderException: We've been foiled by the SUCatalogLoader: no local display name. Drat.\n

ERROR: __CFURLCache::StepSQLStatement - step failed (exceed retry) - ErrCode: 5

ERROR: __CFURLCacheSelectAndCreateResponse - failed to select, retry exceeded - ErrCode: 5

swupd_syncd failed with NSInvalidArgumentException: * -[NSCFString appendString:]: nil argument

My OS X 10.5 Server although. It seems that it is an 10.5 Sus Problem not in 10.4 Server.

I thought that apple is using two different websites to connect to download there updates.

For 10.4 Server i know it's http://swscan.apple.com/content/catalogs/index-1.sucatalog

and i thing for the 10.5 Server it's http://swscan.apple.com/content/catalogs/index.sucatalog.

But thisone could not be reached at the moment.

My OS X 10.5 Sus showed this error on 11 PM yesterday.

Anyone knowing more??

Hi,

The error

<Error>: swupd_syncd failed with SUCatalogLoaderException: We've been foiled by the SUCatalogLoader: no local display name. Drat.\n

first appeared on Apr 16 01:57:56. Software Update is not downoading Safari 3.1.1. But the Server itself, looking directly out to Apple servers, is downloading the update with no problems.

Hope Apple acknowledges this problem soon.

Hi,

received the same error reported by Refik Telhan since Apr 16th, 3:30:05. SUS is running and clients may reach and use it. Whereas the latest updates (e.g. Safari 3.1.1) are not downloaded from the Apple Server.

The Server itself, hooked to the Apple Server, may download Safari 3.1.1 without problems.

Any hints?

Cheers,
B.
