I want to use an OS 9 font (Charcoal) but not keep Classic

Hi,

I thought I was able to have the old OS9/Classic font Charcoal on my Powerbook without keeping Classic. (I've used it that way for about 2 years now.) I have just done an Erase and Install and set everything else up as best I can but haven't figured out how to keep that font but not keep Classic.

It works fine with Classic installed. I tried throwing out they System folder contents (and the OS9 Application folder, rebooting and throwing out the System Folder), but Charcoal went away. (Charcoal CY stayed but I don't use that.) Is there a way to keep Charcoal but not keep the rest of Classic/OS 9?

Tnank you.
