MacBook: How do I get a Dock icon back?

I accidentally dragged it off the dock, the thing that opens up a new internet or a new tab, and it poofed and I can't find it anywhere to put it back...help?

Hey there!
Go to the Finder. Click applications and find it on that screen. When you find it, just drag the icon back into the dock. Happens to me all the time!

To replace that icon, go to that web page I linked above. At the extreme left side of the address box there should be an Apple logo. Click your mouse pointer on that apple and drag it (the whole thing - the apple and the web address) to the position in the short end of the Dock where the trash can is, and release it there. The @ thing will appear in that location when you do.
