Can I upgrade my iPhone from 8GB to 16GB

Hi everyone,

I've read other posts about upgrading from 8GB to 16GB, but it appears that you have to get a new iPhone to do that, is that right? There's not a way to just upgrade my existing unit from 8 to 16?

Thanks in advance,

Larry

I'm not sure how much space is taken up by contacts, but my guess is that songs/videos would use much more of your memory, so decreasing contacts might not give you that much extra space. If you have a backup of your contacts, you could try removing them on the next sync, to see how much space they are taking up.
