I'm afraid that there isn't a way to upgrade your existing iPhone to 16 GB, so yes, you have to buy a new one.
Cheers.Dual 2.3 GHz PowerPC G5, Mac OS X (10.5.1), 2 GB DDR SDRAM; iPhone (1.1.3); MacBook Pro (10.4)
Currently Being ModeratedFeb 25, 2008 6:26 AM (in response to jia10)Thanks. By the way, is there anything I can do to free up more space on my phone for songs? For instance, if I have tons of contacts in my contacts list, is that taking up space that could be used for songs?HP Paviollion zd8000, Windows XP Pro

If you have a backup of your contacts, you could try removing them on the next sync, to see how much space they are taking up.Dual 2.3 GHz PowerPC G5, Mac OS X (10.5.1), 2 GB DDR SDRAM; iPhone (1.1.3); MacBook Pro (10.4)
