Multiple Midi Controllers

So Ive gotten help with this for main stage already (thank you much!), but I'm still trying to figure out how to do this in Logic. I have 2 midi controllers, just controllers, they do not produce their own sound. Trying to figure out how to route each one to a different software synth. I have them both plugged in separately via USB, not daisy-chained or anything, and my compute has found both of them just fine in the utilities. So far all I can do is get them both to play the same soft-synth. Im not sure if I create them as separate midi instrument tracks and then route them to software synth tracks themselves, or if theres something simpler. Either way I'm doing it wrong, Im still getting a grasp on midi and routing channels still very new to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I-Mac, Mac OS X (10.5.1), 2.8 Dual Core, 2Gig Ram, 24inch Screen, 500Gig HD
