photos synch question

I synched some photos to my ipod. cool. now I want to delete the photos from my computer as they take up way too much space. I have cd back ups of the photos.
When I plug in my ipod it automatically syncs the photos...so how do i keep this from happening esepcially if the photos have been deleted from the computer ???please let me know exactly what to uncheck or change so i can just keep the photos on the ipod and not the computer...thank you

You can't.

Any photos not on the computer will be deleted from the iPod and there is no option to manually manage photos like you can with music (which allows content not on the computer to be kept on the iPod).

Actually under the photo tab you can infact uncheck the option to automatically sync photos when you plug in the ipod. This will allow you to keep your photos on the ipod and not on the computer. I manually manage mine like this all the time. The downside is, you cannot add more photos to your ipod without removing the ones that are on there now. I wish they would fix that.
