Audio - Video separation

I'm kind of new to iMovie. A friend shot a rather rough cell phone video of me performing the other night. I was able to edit it, add some titles, fades, etc. The problem is, she shot the first half of the song with the camera held the wrong way, and then corrected it midway through. I was able to fix most of that, but there's still one short clip where you see the camera adjust.

What would like to do is remove that clip, and perhaps insert a transition, while still retaining the audio content.

So my question is, can I separate the audio from the video of that clip, and if so, how?
