There are several options. I have been using SuperDuper ($20 at www.shirt-pocket.com) for months to routinely make bootable clones of both my iMac hard drives on an external firewire drive. SD is fast (syncs after the first clone), well documented, and was immediately updated for Tiger. I have not been copying CDs, etc, so that is something you could research yourself on the web site.
I believe that Apple's disk utility will work for you as well.
I am looking at making backup copies of all of my software CD's, DVD's, and movies. what's the best software to clone identical images? Thank you. -- OmieMac
