Ringer is set to 'headphones'

Ringer is set to 'headphones'

I've checked my settings, and I can't figure why I don't hear the
keyboard clicks, or lock sound. And when I use the volume button
on the side, it displays 'ringer headphones'. My iPod also will only
play with my headphone jack installed. So my iPhone appears
to think my headphone jack is installed. How do I fix this?

All of a sudden, I can hear the sounds, and I didn't change anything.
It was obviously some glitch.

Thanks for the article. I had done all those things, except reseting
it. It just started working correctly.

Looks like I spoke too soon. I even did a reset, and it still doesn't work.

That article definitely described the problem I am having. But nothing is fixing it. I see Paul's just starting working again. So far, mine has not.

Anybody know how pervasive this problem is.

Alas, I didn't bring my earbuds with me as I presumed I would be using the handset or my car speaker system (via Bluetooth). I guess I can use speaker phone until I find out what is causing this problem.

I hope someone knows an answer, because nothing is helping for me.

Thanks to Jennifer's link to the article I found a solution that worked for me. I needed to do two things:

1) Disable Bluetooth
2) Restart the iPhone.

I had previous done the restart and hard reset, but it only worked after disabling Bluetooth first.
