Reinstall Quicken on G5 iMac

I need to reinstall Quicken and I can't for the life of me find it on the installation disks that came with my iMac G5. I looked at the contents of the "Install Bundled Software Only" package and couldn't find it. Any idea where it's hiding?

Here's the quote from the Apple Store webpage:

In addition, the iMac G5 comes with an incredible bundle of software:

- iLife '05, which includes the latest versions of iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie HD, iDVD and GarageBand
- iWork '05 30-day trial
- AppleWorks
- Quicken 2005 for Macintosh
- 2005 World Book Multimedia Reference Suite
- Nanosaur 2
- Marble Blast Gold
- Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac Test Drive

I can't find where any of the non-Apple software is on the install disks.

Sorry, I don't understand the relevance of your post. Quicken was on the HD when I got the machine. I assumed that its installer would be on the install disks so that one could reinstall as is sometimes necessary with any software. That's how it has always been in the past. FYI, you can get it from places like MacMall for about $43 after rebate.

I don't have an iMac G5, so I can't be certain if the disks are formatted exactly like the ones I got with my Mac Mini. Anyway, to install Quicken, insert the first install disk. Be sure you do not restart your computer after inserting the install disk or you will also be installing the Mac OS. You should see an alias to the "Install Bundled Software Only". Double clicking on this will open an installer that will let you choose what you want to install.

If you don't see such an item, there is an alternate way. Do a Finder find on the installation disk for "quicken". You should get one item returned. On my Mac Mini, I get "CPU_Quicken.pkg". Just double click the item in the Finder window and it should launch the installer.

On my Mac Mini install disks the bundled software are in the invisible folder ".packages". Full path /installdisk/System/Installation/Packages/.packages/CPU_Quicken/pkg.

Edit: It would probably be a good idea to first go to /Library/Receipts (that is the Library folder at the root level of your hard disk) and delete the receipt for Quicken that is already there. The installer may get confused if it sees it has been installed before.
