Clips in Outline Text show up as stills.

The video clips I insert in the Text Graphic part of Outline Text are treated as stills. In the past it worked fine, but since I moved to HD video and FCP 6.0.2 I cannot get it to work properly. Is there someone with a solution or is this a bug?

that was my first thought too Jerry, and I was going to say as much ... but when I look at the code for the plug-in it does suggest that it should use the rolling video

if dur > 0 // superimpose a clip
getvideo(superText, frame, buf1)

if the duration of the clip in the well is more than zero (ie there a clip in the well), then get the frame of that image that corresponds to the current frame offset of the effect

Because my curiousity was raised by your positive remark that only stills could be used, I checked upon my previous projects. In 2004 I have used succesfully the rolling video feature in outline text many times. So it makes me believe that Andy might be right that the plug-in doesn't work as intended. Last night I exported a superimposed rolling video test to a QT movie. To my surprise it came out as a rolling video. After the first time I tried this again and again, but it never did this trick again. I keep trying.

Andy, because of your remarks and the fact that in the past I was succesful in creating rolling video in the OUTLINE TEXT generator, I tried it again. It worked a couple of times when I created this at the beginning of the viewer timeline instead of in the middle and only with a few clips. So it was more luck than science. In the meantime I gave up my trying and are using Jerry's solution that works very well.
