imovie to wma file

How can I convert my imovie project file to a wma file so I can then burn it on DVD to watch on a tv using a normal DVD player?
I have managed to save it so far as a Quicktime movie as PAL and another as NTSC but can't seem to get it to play.
Is there any way of going straight from imovie to dvd?

If you want to burn a DVD from your imovie project, you don't want wma. You need mpeg2.
Do you also have iDVD? You can, from within iMovie, import your project right into iDVD, and design and burn your disc.

Yes I have idvd, your saying I can import to imovie, then how to burn from imovie using idvd? I have tried but doesn't work?

I also have all these, mp4, mpg, mov, 3pg and avi files all from different family in europe, can I burn straight using idvd.
