Zinio Reader

Hello guys,

I've been having a problem with Zinio Reader, I could not read the magazines I had already downloaded so I deleted everything, reader included. I have re-downloaded the reader but I'm unable to install it, keep getting message: There were some errors installing Zinio Reader, please try again, which I do to no avail.
Can anyone help me with this please.

Assuming you have "correctly" uninstalled previous non working version of Zinio Reader - Try first to remove previous Zinio Reader install/usage preferences file which is located at/under ../Users/your user id/Preferences/ file named com.zinio.reader.plist . You will also find under your user id subdirectory a sub directory named "Magazines" remove that one as well before attempting new installation.

Now, assuming you didn't remove previous non working version of Zinio Reader, remove it/uninstall it. You can do that by using a really good tool for package removal called OSXPM which you can download from http://www.osxgnu.org/info/pkgdelete.html or try at http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/14368

If after these few things you still have problem then you have a possible permissions problems (which you can do first before trying my previous suggestions, it won't hurt...fixing permissions can't hurt your box's performance in any way, shape or form, it can only be helpful!)
Check your HD permissions, which might got corrupted. You can do that by using the Disk Utility tool that came with your PB/OS. It is located in your Users/your user id/Applications/Utilities sub-folder. Other tool to use is application called Cocktail which you can purchase and download at http://www.maintain.se/cocktail/index.html.

Juan,

I still think you have left-overs of the previous Zinio installation and your install file is unable to complete installation. You need to properly remove the app and the best way is the use the OSXPM or something similar.

Otherwise, I have no idea what might be the problem to be honest, but will look into it bit more and if I have more feedback will drop it here.

Sasa
