I am having difficulty syncing my blackberry 8310 to my mac with pocketmac

I just got the blackberry 8310 and downloaded the pocketmac. When I sync, I get this error message:

10:59:30.016] An unexpected error has occurred: Bad default category length.

What does this mean and how do I correct it?

G4, Mac OS X (10.5.2), 2 G RAMM
