Applecare closed on sundays??

does anybody know what applecare phone service is available on Sundays in the UK? I have been trying to call to see if they can shed any light on my constant wireless dropouts on my mbpro but I just get a voice saying "apple is currently closed" whatever that means. I cant believe that a service that cost £279 can't be used on a Sunday. I new "APP" was pretty bad but really! Anyone know whats up?
