i've been trying to set up my windstream email account on my iphone with no luck. it keeps saying that it cannot connect or verify my account. I've entered all the info into the phone correctly and i don't know what else to do???? can anyone help??

    The most likely reason is you did NOT enter all of the information correctly.

    Have you tried this wizard yet? http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/mailhelper/

    If that doesn't solve it tell us EXACTLY what you entered for each value in the Add Account setup, including what you entered in the Advanced section. Substitute "UI" for your user name and "PW" for your password, of course.

    Also, have you tried both WiFi on your home network and EDGE?

    i tried the wizard and it says that apple doesn't have any information on that provider.

    I've entered:

    Name: "My name"
    Address: smoates@windstream.net
    Description: smoates@windstream.net

    Incoming
    Host name: pop.windstream.net
    user name: smoates@windstream.net
    password: "my password"

    Outgoing mail server:
    host name: smtp.windstream.net
    user name: smoates@windstream.net
    password: "my password"

    Advanced:

    Incoming settings:
    use ssl : on
    authentication : password
    sever port: 995

    outgoing settings
    use ssl: on
    auth: password
    server port: 587

    Most POP accounts don't require SSL on the incoming server. Try turning that off....
