Playing chords with a single key?

On many stand alone synths like the Roland Juno-D you can assign entire chords / arpeggio sequences to a single key to free up your fingers to do other effects, etc. For example you can set it to where the C key doesn't play a C note but a C-E-G chord. I found this handy when brainstorming lyrics or melody flow as I could play chords without much attention to finger placement. Is there a way to do this in GB? If not do Logic or other higher-end DAWs support this type of feature?

You would have to create each chord, save as an audio file, then drag each chord to its corresponding key as a sound effect. It will not work in MIDI, so you need to choose the instrument ahead of time, unfortunately.

If you want a MIDI version, save the chords individually as loops or one-shots. Then you can drag and drop the chords, however, you cannot use a keyboard that way.
