Updating to Latest iTunes Error

Hi folks,

I'm just trying to run Software Update to update to the latest version of iTunes but every time I try to do it I get the following error (after it finishes downloading the 40mb file):
*The update "iTunes" can't be installed.*
*A network error has occurred: Cannot open file (-3001). Make sure you can connect to the Internet, then try again.*

Any advice would be appreciated, obviously I can indeed connect to the internet and am connected when attempting the update.

It may be network congestion either on your end (your ISP), somewhere on the internet, or Apple's server. Right now these boards seem "sticky" so it may be a server problem.
I would try later, or download the update directly from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
