Rental Movies not showing up on Apple TV

I rented a movie on my iMac.
The movie sits in a folder called "Rented Movies".
When I go to Apple TV and click on my shared movies only the purchased movies show up NOT my "rented movie".
How do I point Apple TV to see the "Rented Movie" part of my iTunes Library?

Thanks for your help.

In iTunes, click on Apple TV in the devices list. Click on the Movie Tab. At the top of the movie tab, you should see "Rented Movies" and two boxes. The box on the left is movies on iTunes; the box on the right is on the ATV. Click on the arrow below the movie in the iTunes box that says move. The rented movie will then be moved over to your ATV for your viewing pleasure as the movie can't be on two devices at the same time.

there are three possibilities: you have not upgraded to version 2.0 or in Summary on the ATV device in iTunes, you should look whether you have it set up to only sync or otherwise disables movie syncing, or you have not paired your Mac to the ATV (on your tv, settings/computers/connect to itunes library - not shared library)
