Not loading a specific web site (imdb.com)

For the past two weeks, every time I wanna check imdb.com my Safari AND Firefox both take foreeeevvvvver to load up just that one site -- and then it's still incomplete, no pictures and messed up, unstructured page, just an overall mess.

I ran Mac Janitor, I erased cookies, emptied cache, reset Safari, ran disk utility -- no help. Every other site is dandy and loading quick. Imdb.com works fine from my office computer, but not my G5 at home.

What gives? Is there a folder I can delete in the Library? Has anybody had this problem before? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

G5, Mac OS X (10.3.x)

I am having the exact same problem and have tried everything. It happened suddenly one night and has not rectified itself. Emptied cookies, checked wireless connection. Reinstalled Safari browser and Firefox and Camino. Also hooked another computer up using my wireless and the same problem occurred. My neighbor upstairs is NOT having this problem nor is my friend down the street. I was told by LINKSYS to contact APPLE. When I look at the browsers activity window it says 27 errors out of 30 and next to the different links in the activity window it says Connection timed out. Here are the links created as IMDB tried to load. NOTE: NEXT TO EACH ONE it says timed out

Wow, I hate to say this, but it's nice to know I'm not alone with this issue.

And yes, I am on Earthlink. So the issue might be some earthlink, imdb conflict?

If people using the same ISP are having problems reaching the same web sites, the most likely culprit is a DNS problem. Try specifying OpenDNS DNS addresses either in your Mac's Network preferences or in your router's settings. (Instructions for both are on the page I've linked to.)

DNS is the system that directs your web browser to the right physical address on the internet when you type in a URL. Sometimes the DNS services that an ISP uses don't work properly and sometimes the problem has to do with communication somewhere between the ISP's DNS service and your web browser. In each case, specifying alternate DNS addresses can circumvent the problem.

And then, just like that... it's working. Imdb is now loading up with no problems.

For better or worse, I've been too busy to do any of the things that were suggested here, so I just tried loading the site again on a whim, and what do you know, it's working.

I'm guessing it was some weird thing with site itself... I don't know. Let me know if you guys have the same experience.
