ROTATE Monitor Screen Portrait Vertical NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL

Hi, I am getting a used G5 2.7 dual to work in Adobe GoLive CS2 and CS1 and 10.4 Tiger reliably.

The G5 comes with a top-end NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL video card.

I want to add attach a Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP (rotating) monitor.

My G4/10.4 machine: Help for rotate in 10.4 has no hits, and Displays shows no Rotate option, but I recall reading Tiger can do this.

MY QUESTION: Will I be able to rotate the Dell monitor in Tiger with this video card?

+++

My Mac Pro 2.66 quad under Leopard 10.5 has a rotate feature in Displays> Display: Rotate.

But I need to keep the G5 in Tiger for Adobe compatibility.

Thanks...

Apple must have been testing the rotate feature that became fully visible in Leopard.

Thanks, easy to read...

There's a somewhat-hidden feature in Mac OS X 10.4 that allows you to rotate any monitor in increments of 90 degrees. If you press the option key while opening System Preferences, and continue to press the option key while selecting the Displays preference panel, you may see an option for "Rotate" on each screen's panel.
