Itunes don't synchronize photos

I try to synchronize photos on my ipo classic 160 gb (version 1.1.1). My photos are in a seprate drive (H:): when i select "synchronize all photos" on my itunes 7.6.1.9 i receive the error message "Non posso sincronizzare ipod non trovo il file richiesto" that in english is "The ipod cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found". But what file? There isn't an error number, so I don't understand the problem...
Does my photos have to be on the drive where itunes is installed? But my folder "Music" is on another hdd...
Ah, I,ve formatted and reinitialized my ipod three times, but no success...
Can anyone help me?
